Working with De Montfort University and the Melio leg bag's inventor, Labone took the product from a single prototype to a fully tooled working device (which was demonstrated at Medica 2011) in less than 5 months.
Albert Medical Devices Ltd was created in 2011 to develop and market the Melio leg bag with Investment from the North West Fund for Biomedical, managed by SPARK Impact, along with Labone and other private investors. The Melio leg bag has already generated very high levels of interest and will be commercially launched during the first half of 2012.
