One piece of equipment that is vital to Product Development is our GOM scanner. This equipment can quickly compare a part against cad data. It is also very useful as it can scan tooling inserts after CNC milling / eroding to highlight any differences to cad.

Connector for Fuel Pump

Description:

BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) Specific pump designed to cope with dirty fuel.

Method:

Pre-mould and over-mould of a copper terminal using approved suppliers for priming and potting operations. Each part is then 100% leak tested at Labone.

Oil Level and Pressure Sensor Connector

Description:

Over-moulded cable assembly to carry oil sensor signals from within the aggressive environment of the engine oil pan to the vehicle wiring loom whilst maintaining sump integrity.

Method:

Two stage moulding using a specialist sealing material and a compatible overmould material to ensure full air-tight overmoulding and resistance to hot engine fluids. Process utilises solid terminal pins pressed and assembled by us with a final potting operation which is 100% leak tested on site.
